Worrowing is a 250-acre private Estate located just minutes from the renowned white sandy beaches and turquoise waters of Jervis Bay. With plenty of wide-open space and accommodation within walking distance to the wedding ceremony and reception venue, Worrowing is a stunning coastal country venue just 2.5 hours south of Sydney.

Worrowing gives you the opportunity to exclusively book the estate for your celebration and the flexibility to plan and style your wedding in a stunning setting. The Georgian architect designed homestead and surrounding 5 acres of formal private gardens have amazing views over open paddocks, native bushland and the Budawang mountains. Worrowing’s landmark Georgian style Homestead and magnificent gardens have inspired a collection of 12 private self-contained holiday houses, cottages, wilderness huts and boat houses which dot the surrounding hillside of the property.

 

Having your wedding at Worrowing gives you the opportunity to select your preferred suppliers (catering, bar, planner, stylist, florist, etc). Whatever the style or vision for your day, you can create a unique wedding experience, taking advantage of all the property has to offer.  
 

THE HEREFORD - WEDDING VENUE
Originally a Poll Hereford cattle stable and sales yard complex, ‘The Hereford Shed’ is a high roofed timber and corrugated iron farm structure with polished concrete flooring and wide timber decking used for weddings and private events. The Hereford Shed features large scribbly gum timber columns and is a beautifully renovated light-filled space. With lovely views to north and west, it overlooks a private lake, tall tree stands, rolling pastures and the lush bushland of the Jervis Bay National Park which borders the property. ‘The Hereford’ is a versatile space that can cater for large or intimate occasions. We allow marquees to be set up at the venue for weddings that wish to have an extra touch.

 

Booking The Hereford Shed includes 3 day hire; time to prepare and set up your wedding, a day for your special event, and a recovery brunch if you wish on the day of your departure.

CEREMONY
Your ceremony can be held in a number of picturesque outdoor locations on the property or in the gorgeous formal Worrowing Homestead private gardens. There are over 12+ ceremony locations to choose from, plus our wet weather ceremony option.

 

ON SITE ACCOMMODATION

Worrowing accommodates 41people in five styles of accommodation from large open farm houses, to intimate and secluded cottages, wilderness huts and boat shed studios which dot the surrounding hillside of the property and offer a unique location for those who would like to escape to a private retreat. 

 

Having all of your guests together in one place with you for your special occasion is an unforgettable experience. There are plenty of activities to entertain your guests staying over the weekend including the option to hold a yoga class, see the farm animals or visit our beautiful beaches, restaurants and cafes (just a short drive away). We can also accommodate any extra guests at private beach properties situated nearby in Jervis Bay.
